Discovering the Coaching Path

Museums (and learning) have always been my first love. I was fortunate to pursue an early career in exhibition design, working at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum and revel in redesigning galleries, move the National Spacesuit Collection to a new archival unit, and most memorably, welcome home Space Shuttle Discovery on the tarmac. NASM’s incredibly talented staff and mission to “commemorate, educate, inspire” remain largely ingrained in my professional practice today.

A fated architectural review led to meeting the C&G Partners design team, and an opportunity to build community partnerships out of their sun-drenched Union Square studio. Here I discovered exhibitions (digital and physical) can be a vehicle for impacting radical social change through ongoing projects with JPMorgan Chase & Co, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Skirball Cultural Center (LA).

While I found great joy and meaning in this work, I recognized I was still “missing” something. One night of soul searching, I dreamt of a bat flying through the kitchen of my Manhattan apartment and it hit me in the face. I woke up on instant (both literally and metaphorically) and reached out to a Jungian dream analyst to better unpack my ego/soul conflict and reconnect with my spiritual self.

In tandem, another mentor advised I check out Co-Active Coach Training and I was immediately captivated with the depth and creativity of the program aligning with my skills and passion for personal development and soul growth. I firmly believe all individuals are “naturally creative, resourceful and whole” a cornerstone of the Co-Active Model, there is no fixing or healing, rather coaching presents an opportunity to “dance in this moment” and “evoke transformation.” Helping individuals ignite personal discovery, explore spiritual inquiry and seek heightened levels of fulfillment has remained a constant source of inspiration.

Horses and their innate wisdom and healing energy reentered my life at a pivotal transition in 2022; I am beginning to interweave equine-assisted learning into my offerings as much as possible. I am trained in the Eagala Model, experiential learning with free roaming horses that is entirely ground based (no riding). I am an active member of the American Horse Council, Colorado Horse Council, Institute of Coaching and currently serve as Membership Manager for the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) and as Co-Lead for Denver Women in Business for Good, a community giving circle. When not coaching, you can find me outdoors savoring Colorado’s 300 days of sun and painted sunsets, fly fishing, and riding Hunter Jumpers.
